STRENGTHENING OUR TRAINING IN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

The past Tuesday and Wednesday we held in our headquarters the Training Seminars about work methods and International Cooperation Projects Cycle, an event that we organized with the objective of updating our knowledge and strengthening our capacities.

Our colleague from Método Colombia, the sociologist Ander Arcos, expert in Cooperation and Human Rights, has proposed to us contents of great depth and detail about all those issues that ought to be taken into consideration in the formulation and execution of such projects. In particular, this seminar addressed the following topics:

  • International Cooperation for Development. General issues.
  • Development, Human Development and Capacity Development
  • Human Rights, Humanitarian Aid, International Humanitarian Law and the human rights-based approach.
  • The differentiated approach
  • The gender perspective
  • The Global Development Goals and the Post-2015 Agenda
  • The United Nations System

Form a participatory, practical and critical approach; we have revised our working arrangements to incorporate new knowledge that will help us improve our daily task.

We have the good fortune to work focusing our efforts towards achieving important social objectives, but it is in the international cooperation arena where we find the added motivation to multiply our efforts and yield better quality products and services.

In Método we are committed to continuous improvement and innovation. For this purpose, we maintain our work methodologies, our products and services in constant monitoring and evaluation. The actions of internal training fall within the results of this process of pursuit of excellence. These actions also produce valuable learning, important experience for the teams that normally work in different countries around the world.

Among the strategic objectives of the Método Project Area is continuing to effectively participate in the execution of International Cooperation for Development Projects. Our service proposal within this area is based upon a firm compromise with the contracting entities to offer a highly professional and valuable contribution.
